About Lydia
Lydia’s yoga journey began in the heart of Guadalajara, Mexico, where life’s challenges led her to the healing power of Ashtanga yoga. What started as a physical practice soon unfolded into a lifelong exploration of ancient wisdom that heals, guides, and transforms.
Originally from the lush Pacific Northwest, Lydia brings a grounded, heartfelt presence to everything she does. Her path led her to study yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and energy work—not just in classrooms, but through real, lived experience. These teachings gave her the clarity and strength to leave a corporate career and step into a life of deeper alignment and service.
Today, Lydia serves as Project Champion at the Yoga Studies Institute, where she helps bring timeless yogic teachings to modern seekers around the world. A devoted student and teacher, Lydia believes yoga is more than something we do on the mat—it’s a way of living, speaking, and meeting each moment with awareness and compassion.
Off the mat, she finds joy in the sacred chaos of family life as a mother of three daughters, weaving practice into parenting, partnership, and the everyday art of being.
